Multi-functional stuffing machines also require regular maintenance.
The multi-functional filling machine is a high-efficiency, automated food processing equipment widely used in the production of filled foods such as pastries and cakes. This equipment automatically wraps the filling inside the dough by placing the kneaded dough and mixed filling into separate hoppers. The machine then uses a dough and filling conveyor system to shape the filling into the dough, followed by a shaping device to produce the desired weight of finished product, which is then conveyed out via a conveyor belt.
It has several advantages. Its control system typically uses a PLC human-machine interface with recipe storage and memory functions, making it easy to operate. All parts in contact with food are made of high-quality stainless steel, ensuring hygiene and safety during production. Furthermore, the multi-functional filling machine can adapt to different fillings, such as mixed nuts, lotus seed paste, and red bean paste, and the filling-to-dough ratio can be adjusted arbitrarily, resulting in uniform product size and an attractive appearance.
Regular maintenance of the multi-functional filling machine:
1. Mold Calibration
Regularly (e.g., weekly or bi-weekly, depending on usage frequency) calibrate the filling machine's molds. During use, the mold may shift position due to vibration, collisions, etc., resulting in irregular filling shapes or inaccurate filling-to-dough ratios. Mold calibration requires adjusting the mold's position and gap according to the equipment manual. Generally, this can be achieved by adjusting the mold fixing screws or adjustment devices. During calibration, a standard mold calibration tool (if provided) or a simple template can be made to check if the mold's size and shape meet the requirements.
2. Transmission System Maintenance
Belt Replacement: Replace the transmission belt regularly based on its condition. Generally, the belt needs to be replaced when it shows wear, cracks, or a significant decrease in elasticity after prolonged use. When replacing the belt, select a belt of the same model and specifications as the original belt to ensure accurate transmission ratios. When installing a new belt, pay attention to adjusting the belt tension according to the equipment manual.
Chain Maintenance: For chain-driven filling machines, in addition to daily checks of chain tension and lubrication, the chain should be cleaned and maintained regularly (e.g., annually or every two years). The chain can be disassembled (if easy to disassemble), soaked in a dedicated chain cleaning solution for a period of time, then rinsed clean with water, dried, and coated with an appropriate amount of chain oil. This can remove dirt and impurities from the chain and extend its service life.
3. Electrical System Maintenance
Circuit Inspection: Regularly (e.g., every six months) conduct a comprehensive inspection of the filling machine's electrical system. Check for aging or damage to the wires, especially at bends and joints. Replace severely aged wires promptly. Also, check all electrical components in the electrical control box, such as contactors and relays, for overheating or burning. If any components are found to be faulty, replace them immediately to avoid affecting the normal operation of the equipment.
Motor Maintenance: The motor is one of the core components of the filling machine. Regularly (e.g., annually) maintain the motor. In addition to checking the motor temperature and lubrication, check the insulation resistance of the motor windings. A megohmmeter can be used to measure the insulation resistance between the motor windings and the casing. Generally, the insulation resistance value should not be lower than a certain value (the specific value depends on the motor's power and voltage rating). If the insulation resistance is too low, it may be due to moisture in the motor or damage to the winding insulation, requiring drying or repair of the motor.
4. Overall Testing
Periodic (e.g., monthly) overall testing of the multi-functional filling machine is necessary. During testing, check the proper functioning of each equipment, including the filling amount, the wrapping effect of the outer skin, and the filling speed. Samples can be made to check the filling quality and adjust the equipment parameters until optimal operating conditions are achieved. Simultaneously, the testing process also checks the coordination between different components, such as whether the conveyor belt speed and the movement of the filling mold are synchronized.
