Common Faults and Repair Methods of Pillow Packaging Machines
The pillow packaging machine is a high-capacity continuous packaging machine suitable for packaging products of multiple specifications in both food and non-food industries. It can not only perform packaging with unprinted packaging materials, but also conduct high-speed packaging using pre-printed roll materials with logos and patterns. It is widely applicable to the food industry, pharmaceutical industry, daily necessities, disposable products, hardware products, plastic products, toys and stationery, industrial supplies, industrial components, and auto parts.
The pillow packaging machine is a new type of automatic continuous heat shrink packaging equipment widely used in China. It adopts the common electric heating wire heating method, featuring fast temperature rise, good stability and low maintenance cost. The shrink temperature and motor drive speed are stably adjustable with a wide adjustment range. It is equipped with an original automatic roller rotation device, enabling continuous operation. Therefore, this heat shrink packaging machine boasts an advanced design, stable and reliable performance, energy-saving and high efficiency, excellent shrinking effect, novel and attractive structure, as well as convenient operation and maintenance. It is suitable for shrink packaging with any type of shrink film. With better performance and packaging effect than traditional shrink machines, it is a reliable and trustworthy choice for production.
Common Faults and Troubleshooting of Pillow Packaging Machine
I. Scorched & Wrinkled Sealing Marks
Causes: Excessively high temperature, excessively slow running speed, or poor heat resistance of the outer layer of the packaging film.Solutions: Increase the running speed, lower the heating temperature, and replace the packaging film with a more heat-resistant material.
II. Cutter Cutting Into Products
Causes: Overly high or low knife holder, excessively fast packaging speed, or out-of-sync movement between the push rod and the cutting knife.Solutions: Reduce the packaging speed, adjust the height of the end sealing unit so that the center of the sealing knife is aligned with the middle of the product height.
III. Cutting Position Deviated From Color Mark
Causes: Faint color mark on the film, slipping of the film drive system, or disabled color mark tracking function.Solutions: Adjust the tracking sensitivity by referring to the machine manual; switch the tracking mode to "Tracking Cut" on the HMI (Human-Machine Interface).
IV. Temperature Out of Control
Causes: Burnt-out solid-state relay, damaged temperature controller, or faulty thermocouple.Solutions: Replace the thermocouple, replace the temperature controller (see the figure on the right), and replace the heating element.
V. Incomplete or Loose Sealing
Causes: Excessively fast running speed, poor heat-sealing performance of the inner layer of the packaging film, or excessively low temperature.Solutions: Slow down the running speed, raise the heating temperature, and replace the packaging film material.
VI. Poor Heat Sealing Quality
Causes: Incorrect air pressure, loose cylinder swing rod, low heating temperature, or non-parallel alignment between the heat sealing roller and the driving roller.Solutions: Adjust the parallelism between the rollers, adjust the heating temperature and air pressure, and fasten all loose connecting parts.
