What precautions should be taken when maintaining a candy casting production line?

The candy casting production line is a crucial piece of equipment in the candy manufacturing industry, used to produce various types of candies, such as lollipops, soft candies, and hard candies. This production line employs an automated control system, enabling efficient and precise completion of the candy casting and molding process.

The production line typically consists of several key pieces of equipment, including an automatic weighing system (optional), a pressure sugar-melting pot, a thin-film sugar-cooking machine, a casting machine, a stick-insertion system, a demolding system, and a cold storage unit. The vacuum thin-film sugar-cooking machine, composed of a syrup metering pump, a plate heat exchanger, and a vacuum thin-film evaporator, efficiently cooks the syrup, ensuring stable syrup quality. The casting machine features a dual-hopper design; by changing the distribution plate and nozzles, it can produce diverse products such as filled lollipops and two-tone lollipops.

Maintenance Precautions for Candy Casting Production Lines

1. Daily Cleaning and Maintenance

Timely removal of residual syrup: Immediately after stopping the machine, clean any residual syrup from the casting head, pipes, molds, etc., to prevent hardening and blockage.

Equipment Cleaning:Regularly clean the equipment with hot water or a specialized cleaning agent, especially food-grade contact parts, to prevent syrup buildup and bacterial growth.

Drying:After cleaning, wipe or blow-dry the equipment to prevent rust or malfunctions caused by a damp environment.

2. Key Component Inspection:
Pour Head:Check the pour head for blockages and wear to ensure even syrup flow.

Molds: Regularly check the mold surface for smoothness and damage; replace severely worn molds promptly.

Conveying System: Check conveyor belts, chains, gears, and other transmission components for looseness or wear; lubricate or tighten as needed.

3. Electrical and Control Systems:
Wiring Safety: Regularly check electrical components such as wires, plugs, and control panels to prevent leakage or short circuits.

Sensor Calibration: Temperature, pressure, and flow sensors require regular calibration to ensure control accuracy.

Software Updates: Update the control system software promptly to fix potential faults and optimize parameter settings.

4. Periodic Maintenance:
Lubrication and Maintenance:Regularly lubricate moving parts such as bearings, guide rails, and lead screws to reduce wear. Seal Replacement: Inspect equipment seals (such as O-rings and gaskets), and replace any aged or damaged ones promptly to prevent leaks.

Annual Overhaul: Completely disassemble the equipment, inspect core components (such as motors, pumps, cylinders, etc.), and replace easily worn parts.
