Discussing operational precautions for candy casting production lines

A candy casting production line is a crucial piece of equipment in the confectionery manufacturing industry, used to produce various types of candies, such as lollipops, soft candies, and hard candies. This production line employs an automated control system, enabling efficient and precise completion of the candy casting and molding process.

The production line typically consists of several key pieces of equipment, including an automatic weighing system (optional), a pressure sugar-melting pot, a thin-film sugar-cooking machine, a casting machine, a stick-insertion system, a demolding system, and a cold storage unit. The vacuum thin-film sugar-cooking machine, composed of a syrup metering pump, a plate heat exchanger, and a vacuum thin-film evaporator, efficiently cooks the syrup, ensuring stable syrup quality. The casting machine features a dual-hopper design; by changing the distribution plate and nozzles, it can produce diverse products such as filled lollipops and two-tone lollipops.

Operational precautions for a candy casting production line:

1. Raw material preparation

Syrup quality: Ensure the syrup is cooked to the required standard; the temperature, concentration, and viscosity must meet the casting requirements. Hard candy syrup needs to be cooled to a suitable temperature (usually below the molding temperature), while soft candy syrup needs to maintain its fluidity.

1. Filtering Impurities: Filter the syrup before pouring to prevent impurities from clogging the pouring head or affecting candy quality.

Adding Additives: If adding additives such as nuts or dried fruit, pre-treat and mix them evenly.

2. Equipment Preheating and Debugging: Preheat the mold, pouring head, and pipes before pouring to prevent the syrup from cooling too quickly, causing blockages or poor molding.

Parameter Setting: Adjust parameters such as pouring volume, speed, and temperature according to the candy type (hard candy, soft candy, etc.) and mold specifications. Conduct trial pours to ensure the molding effect.

3. Pouring Process Control:
Continuous Supply: Ensure a continuous and stable syrup supply to avoid interruptions that could lead to uneven pouring or mold cavities.

Precise Pouring Volume: Monitor the pouring volume to avoid over- or under-pouring, which could affect the consistency of candy size and weight.

Temperature Monitoring: Monitor the syrup temperature in real time to prevent excessively high temperatures (leading to deformation or sticking) or excessively low temperatures (leading to incomplete molding).

4. Mold Management

Mold Cleaning: Before each production run, check that the mold is clean and free of residual syrup or foreign matter to avoid contaminating the finished product.

Mold Release Agent Application: Apply food-grade mold release agent (such as grease or starch solution) as needed to facilitate demolding without affecting product quality.

Mold Changeover: When changing molds, the machine must be stopped and thoroughly cleaned to prevent mixing of candies of different shapes or sizes.

5. Safety Production

Protective Measures: Operators must wear protective clothing, goggles, and high-temperature resistant gloves to prevent burns or contact with high-temperature parts.

Emergency Stop: Familiarize yourself with the location of the emergency stop button and immediately stop the machine in case of blockages, leaks, or other abnormalities.

Preventing Burns: The pouring area contains many high-temperature components; avoid direct hand contact with the mold or pouring head.
