Poor heating efficiency? Unveiling the common problems and solutions for electric rotary furnaces!

An electrically heated rotary oven is a device that uses electricity as a heat source. Hot air is delivered into the furnace chamber via a heat exchanger and a fan to bake the items inside. It converts electrical energy into heat energy, heating the combustion chamber or heating elements. The resulting high-temperature hot air is then delivered into the furnace chamber through the heat exchanger and fan, ensuring even baking of the items. The oven body is designed to rotate, allowing for uniform heating of the items during baking, thus improving baking efficiency and quality.

It adopts a gear transmission structure. A flange is welded to the center of the furnace bottom, and the flange is bolted to the flange on the rotating shaft. The rotating shaft is mounted on the central base via upper and lower bearings, forming the rotation center of the furnace body. The motor, reducer, and gear transmission constitute the power source for the furnace body's rotation. When the motor is turned on, it transmits power to the transmission shaft at a certain speed ratio through the reducer. A gear is mounted on the upper end of the transmission shaft, and the gear directly interacts with the pin gear at the bottom of the furnace shell to form a gear transmission. When the power source drives the gear to rotate, the furnace shell rotates around the central base at the bottom as its rotation axis. At this time, the guide wheel supporting the bottom of the furnace shell acts as a pulley, causing the furnace shell to rotate under a small torque. By designing a certain transmission ratio for each transmission section, the furnace shell is ensured to rotate at a certain speed. Simultaneously, the required speed of the motor is selected by adjusting the motor speed through a frequency converter.

Common problems and solutions for electric heating rotary furnaces are as follows:

I. No response after power-on

Problem description: After turning on the power, the instrument indicator light does not illuminate, and the equipment does not move.

Possible causes:

Power supply is not properly connected (e.g., plug not inserted correctly, circuit fault).

Fuse blown or power switch damaged.

Faulty Furnace Door Limit Switch (e.g., the lower left limit switch does not trigger).

Check the power connection for a secure connection and confirm that the three-phase four-wire power supply is normal.

Replace the blown fuse or damaged power switch.

Adjust or replace the limit switch to ensure it triggers a signal when the furnace door closes.

II. Abnormal Temperature Control

Problem Manifestations:

The furnace temperature does not rise or rises slowly.

The set temperature deviates from the actual temperature.

The temperature drops instead of rising during the heating process.

Possible Causes:

The heating element is damaged (e.g., broken resistance wire, aging infrared tube).

The temperature sensor or temperature controller is faulty.

Thermocouple polarity is reversed.

The control circuit is damaged or the parameters are set incorrectly.

Solutions:

Check if the heating element is broken; replace the damaged part if necessary.

Verify the accuracy of the temperature sensor and temperature controller; replace the faulty equipment.

Reverse the thermocouple polarity wiring.

Reset the control parameters or contact the supplier for assistance. III. Rotating Mechanism Failure

Problem Manifestations:

The turntable does not rotate or rotates abnormally.

The circulating air supply motor does not move.

The turntable cannot automatically position itself after the furnace door is opened.

Possible Causes:

Motor wiring fault or motor damage.

Overload thermal relay protection tripped.

The top proximity switch is damaged or loose.

The circulating air switch is malfunctioning or the contactor is damaged.

Solutions:

Check the motor wiring and repair any open or short circuits.

Reset the overload thermal relay or increase the set current value.

Replace the proximity switch and reposition it, tightening the wiring connectors.

Inspect or replace components such as the circulating air switch and contactor.

IV. Ventilation and Exhaust Problems

Problem Manifestations:

The circulating air fan does not move or the airflow is insufficient.

The exhaust fan works, but the circulating air fan does not start.

Abnormal exhaust emissions (such as smoke or odors).

Possible Causes:

The door is not closed properly or the door limit switch is malfunctioning.

Fan motor damage or low mains voltage.

Clogged ventilation ducts or foreign objects inside the fan.

Solutions:

Ensure the furnace door is tightly closed; adjust or replace the door limit switch.

Check the fan motor and mains voltage; replace the motor if necessary.

Clean the ventilation ducts and fan interior to remove foreign objects and ensure unobstructed access.

V. Safety Protection Device Triggering

Problem Symptoms:

Equipment suddenly stops working, and the safety indicator light illuminates.

Emergency stop button cannot be reset after being triggered.

Possible Causes:

Overload, overheating, or leakage safety hazards trigger the protection system.

Damaged emergency stop button or wiring fault.

Solutions:

Check for overload, overheating, or leakage problems in the equipment; reset the protection device after troubleshooting.

Replace the damaged emergency stop button or repair the wiring fault.

VI. Other Common Problems

Problem Symptoms:

Uneven furnace door gap, causing heat loss.

Timer not working or buzzer not sounding.

 Possible causes:

Aging door seal or loose furnace door adjustment mechanism.

Loose wiring or damaged timer/buzzer.

Solutions:

Replace the door seal or adjust the furnace door adjustment mechanism.

Check and tighten the wiring; replace the damaged timer or buzzer.
