Become a Pastry Master with Ease: Unlock the Magic of Automatic Cake Forming Machines!

The automatic cake forming machine is an automated piece of equipment specially designed for the cake production industry. Its design and functions are engineered to improve the efficiency, consistency and quality of cake production. Controlled by computer programming, the machine realizes automatic feeding, forming and conveying of cake batter.

First, the well-mixed cake batter is injected into cake molds or trays according to preset ratios and volumes. The molds or trays are then transferred to a hot air rotary oven or tunnel oven via a conveyor belt or robotic arm for baking. Once baking is complete, the machine can automatically demould the cakes from the molds or trays, finishing the entire production process.

Operation Instructions for the Automatic Cake Forming Machine

1. Equipment Preparation and Inspection

Equipment Inspection

  • Electrical System: Check that the power cord is intact, free from damage or aging. Verify that switches, buttons and indicator lights function properly with no jamming or failure.
  • Mechanical Components: Inspect moving parts such as the rotating turntable, slide rails and sliding seats for smooth operation, with no jamming or abnormal noise. Clean residual materials inside the equipment to ensure no impurities interfere with operation.
  • Safety Devices: Confirm that safety devices including light curtain protection and emergency stop buttons are fully effective to eliminate operational risks.

Environment Preparation

Clean the surrounding area of the equipment to prevent dust or debris from contaminating the cakes. Ensure the workbench is flat and the machine is placed stably to avoid tipping during operation.

2. Raw Material Preparation and Formula Setting

Raw Material Preparation

Weigh raw materials including flour, eggs, sugar, oil, milk and others according to the formula to ensure accurate ratios. If auxiliary ingredients (such as coffee powder, almond flour) are required, mix them uniformly in advance.

All raw materials must be fresh and free from deterioration to avoid affecting the taste and forming quality of the cakes.

Formula Setting

Select the corresponding program according to the type of cake (e.g., sponge cake, chiffon cake). Input parameters such as raw material ratio, baking temperature and time. Some models support multi-stage temperature control (e.g., high-temperature setting first, followed by low-temperature baking).

3. Operational Procedure

Preheating and Mold Treatment

  • Preheating: Start the equipment and set the baking temperature (e.g., 160–180℃). Preheat to the set temperature and hold for 5 minutes to ensure uniform temperature inside the chamber.
  • Mold Treatment: Apply a small amount of salad oil to the interior of molds or use non-stick paper to prevent cake adhesion. For perforated molds, ensure each cavity is evenly coated with oil.

Batter Filling and Forming

  • Batter Filling: Pour the prepared batter into the molds, with the filling volume controlled at about 80% of the mold capacity to prevent overflow caused by thermal expansion. Some models are equipped with an automatic filling system for precise volume control.
  • Forming: Close the upper cover of the equipment and start the baking program. Monitor the cake condition through the observation window during baking; avoid frequent door opening to prevent temperature fluctuations.

Baking and Unloading

  • Baking Time: Set the time according to the type and size of the cake (e.g., approx. 30 minutes for sponge cake). Some models feature automatic temperature control: heating stops automatically when the temperature reaches the set value and restarts when the temperature drops, ensuring even baking.
  • Unloading: After baking, turn off the heating power. Wear heat-insulating gloves to take out the baking tray, invert the cakes onto a cooling rack and let them cool naturally to prevent shrinkage.

4. Production Monitoring and Adjustment

Operation Monitoring

Observe the real-time running status of the equipment, including turntable speed, filling nozzle position, temperature display, etc. In case of abnormalities (e.g., motor overload, over-temperature), stop the machine immediately for inspection.

Check the raw material supply regularly to avoid production interruption caused by material shortage.

Parameter Adjustment

Adjust parameters according to the cake forming results (e.g., height, fluffiness, surface color). If the cake is too dry, lower the temperature or shorten the baking time appropriately. If the cake is under-baked, extend the baking time or raise the temperature.

5. Final Work and Maintenance

Equipment Cleaning

Turn off the power supply and clean the equipment only after it has cooled down. Wipe the exterior and interior surfaces with a damp cloth. Do not rinse or soak the machine directly to prevent water damage to electrical components.

When cleaning molds, use a soft-bristle brush to remove residues, avoiding scratches on the mold surface.

Routine Maintenance

Lubricate mechanical components (e.g., slide rails, gears) regularly to reduce wear. Check the power cord for aging and replace damaged parts in a timely manner.

Calibrate the temperature sensor with a standard thermometer every month to ensure accurate baking temperature. Remove dust inside the equipment and maintain good ventilation.
